Welcome to my cozy cardmaking corner! I'm Corbet, and this is Shimmertree Studio. I'm glad you're here. 💜
I believe handmade cards have a special kind of magic. They let us play with color, try new ideas, and share a little happiness. For me, cardmaking is about enjoying the process as much as the finished card.
Here, you’ll find cozy cardmaking inspiration, creative ideas, and plenty of encouragement. My approach is shaped by a lifetime of crafty cross-training, along with professional experience in writing, design, teaching, and photography. I love bringing these skills together to create thoughtful designs, share ideas clearly, and help make creativity feel fun and approachable.
I love exploring new techniques and finding fresh ways to use familiar supplies. I also believe you don’t need a perfect plan or a room full of supplies to make something wonderful. Sometimes, all it takes is a little curiosity and a willingness to play.
Whether you’re a seasoned cardmaker or just starting out, there’s a place for you here. I’m so glad you stopped by! Grab your favorite drink, gather a few crafty supplies, and settle in for some creative inspiration.
Let’s enjoy the process and make something lovely, one cozy card adventure at a time!
